Abstract
A 28-year-old pregnant woman was brought to the hospital complaining of epigastric pain. An exploratory laparotomy revealed acute cholecystitis with cholelithiasis, and a cholecystectomy was performed. A Gran-negative rod grew from a culture of gallbladder material. The isolate exhibited biochemical reactions consistent with Vibrio cholerae, while failing to agglutinate in Vibrio 0 group 1 antisera.Entities:
