Abstract
Tuberculosis, a relatively rare lesion in the breast, was observed in 18 patients (seventeen of whom were of child bearing age) with an incidence of 1.02%. Coincidental tuberculosis of the faucial tonsils of suckling infants is suggested as the most common route of infection, especially in the primary type of tubercular mastitis. Conservative surgery under antitubercular therapy cover was found most appropriate.Entities:
