Abstract
An electron micrographic morphometric analysis of nerve endings in substantia nigra of rats repeatedly treated with haloperidol was performed. Although most parameters showed no difference, drug-treated animals exhibited a significant shift in the distribution of relative numbers of axon terminals, suggesting neuroleptic-induced axon-collateral sprouting.Entities:
