A model for an outreach social work oncology training program.

The video tapes and guide books are being developed to give social workers and other health care professionals new information that can be readily applied to their day to day interactions with cancer patients and their families. Anticipated outcomes will be social workers and other health care professionals will have access to training materials to increase their knowledge and self-awareness about cancer, cancer patients and their families. Lastly, it should assist them in being more comfortable and knowledgeable in working with cancer patients.
