Abstract
The search for effective administrative patterns in health service organizations has heightened in the United States. The organized anarchy model depicting these organizations suggests an emphasis on certain CEO roles, and this emphasis is different from that expected of a CEO in a "rational" organization. The degree of internal influence and coherence of coupling are two indicators of CEO effectiveness within a health service organization.Mesh:
