Presentation and prognosis of malignant tumours of the thyroid gland in the West Riding of Yorkshire.

Abstract

Fifty cases of malignant tumours of the thyroid gland presenting over a 15 year period (1963 1978) in a large district general hospital are reviewed. The distribution of histological types, presenting symptoms and the outcome of treatment are discussed.
