[Nosology of confluent and reticulated papillomatosis (Gougerot-Carteaud)].

V Groh, U W Schnyder.

Abstract

The detection of amyloid in skin lesions in three patients suffering from papillomatose papuleuse confluente et réticulée Gougerot-Carteaud requires a discussion of its meaning for the nosology in this rare dermatosis. Several hypotheses are possible. Papillomatose papuleuse confluente et réticulée can be regarded as réaction cutanée according to Brocq. The histopathological findings allow to group the three patients under the nosological entity of biphasic primary localized amyloidosis.
