Percutaneous catheter drainage of septic shoulder joint.

Abstract

A method for draining septic shoulder joints, similar to percutaneous methods recently described for draining abdominal abscesses, is discussed. This alternative technique may also be used for percutaneous drainage of septic hips, thus obviating complicated surgery.
