Abstract
Postcontrast computed tomography in 2 patients with renal ischemia demonstrated the presence of patchy wedge-shaped high density areas in the renal parenchyma. These abnormalities were transient and gradually reverted to normal after correction of the ischemic incident. We propose that these findings were secondary to vasoconstriction and postulate that similar changes may be expected in other conditions where renal blood flow redistribution or vasoconstriction, or both, occur.Entities:
