Osteochondritis dissecans of the humeral head. An unusual cause of shoulder pain.

W J Anderson, W B Guilford.

Abstract

Idiopathic osteochondritis dissecans of the humeral head is a rare cause of shoulder pain and immobility. If conservative management fails, surgical debridement and revascularization by drilling subchondral bone can lead to the restoration of a painless, functional joint.
