Abstract
A new method has been developed for the isolation of intact senile (neuritic) plaque cores from post-mortem brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease. The plaque cores were found to be insoluble in various protein denaturants. The amino acid composition of the plaque core protein does not resemble that of any known form of amyloid.Entities:
