Oral cysticercosis. Review of the literature and report of 2 cases.

Abstract

Oral cysticercosis is a rare condition in man. Our 2 cases bring the total number of published cases to 25. Although it is rare, the cysticercosis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of intra-oral nodules, especially in high incidence areas. Multiple foci are very common and every cases with oral cysticercosis should undergo thorough general examination. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice.
