Abstract
Oral submucous fibrosis is defined and its importance with respect to debilitation and precancerous potential evaluated. Current theories of aetiology are discussed and its pathogenesis and clinical presentation described. Management of the disease is discussed and the conclusion is drawn that modern surgical techniques, currently offer the best prognosis.Entities:
