Abstract
Costs and financial gains related to smoking and assessed in terms of health, financial, agricultural and social factors are presented. It is argued that the sum of the costs exceeds that of the financial gains. Methods of reducing the smoking rate by decreasing tobacco production as well as tobacco consumption are suggested.Entities:
