Abstract
Intravenous injections of naloxone (0.8 to 2.4 mg) were given to patients with focal epilepsy who had had electrodes implanted in cortical and subcortical structures. There were no changes in interictal spike activity, responses to electrical stimulation, of frequency of spontaneous seizures. These data do not support the hypothesis that opiate peptides are involved in human focal epilepsy.Entities:
