A simplified technique for constructing a tube feeding gastrostomy.

M W Gauderer, J L Ponsky.

Abstract

A technique has been developed to establish a tube feeding gastrostomy without the need for laparotomy or general anesthesia. To date, it has been used in 53 patients with excellent results. This technique should prove to be the preferred method in the performance of tube feeding gastrostomy.
