Investigating the substitution of ethanol with liquid carbon dioxide during critical point drying.

Abstract

Substitution of ethyl alcohol with liquid carbon dioxide, without use of amyl acetate during critical point drying was investigated. Replacement of ethanol was determined by testing for ethanol residue using the Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide method. Usefulness of the method was ascertained.
