Abstract
A 66-year-old woman was found to have intractable diarrhea related to excessive consumption of sugarless chewing gum. The effect of sorbitol on the intestinal tract was felt to be the etiology. Upon cessation of gum utilization, the diarrhea ceased. It is suggested that chewing gum usage be included in medical histories!Entities:
