Abstract
A simple laboratory method for culture of continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) fluids is described. Guidelines for antimicrobial therapy are discussed based on results from 18 patients studied over an 11-week period. Cephalosporins appeared to be a rational choice for therapy while awaiting laboratory results.Entities:
