Abstract
Cold-sensitive (cs) and heat-sensitive (ts) conditional-lethal mutations that affect specifically the cell division cycle of budding yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) were used to determine the order of gene function. Reciprocal temperature-shift experiments using cs-ts double mutants revealed a detailed order of function among genes whose execution points and mutant phenotypes are very similar. The data suggest that the nuclear branch of the overall cell-cycle pathway itself contains at least one branch.Entities:
