Abstract
The use of cryosurgery applied to the sphenopalatine area (artery and ganglion) plus the superficial temporal and occipital branches of the external carotid artery has proven worthwhile in a majority of patients in whom this procedure has been used since 1968. Experience includes almost 700 procedures in more than 500 patients who have answered to follow-up. The procedure is not a major operation, is repeatable and, until the ideal drug is discovered, offers a better than average change for definite improvement in vascular headache.Entities:
