Abstract
The reliability of a disease register as a record of the number and type of social problems was investigated in one practice of approximately 12,000 patients. A comparison with a randomly selected sample of the practice population, matched for age and sex, indicated that some social problems were not included. The types of problem concerned, and the reasons why they were not included, are discussed.Entities:
