Abstract
An adhering strain of Lactobacillus salivarius isolated from the intestine of a rat was used to ferment cow's milk fortified with whey protein and threonine. When the fermented milk was used to dose baby rats orally for the first three days of life, the numbers of coliform organisms in the gut decreased significantly.Entities:
