The endothelium in primary angle-closure glaucoma.

S N Markowitz, J D Morin.

Abstract

Specular microscopy of 56 eyes with primary angle-closure glaucoma showed a significant (P less than .05) loss of endothelial cells in eyes when any of the following were present: visual field loss; a cup-disk ratio greater than 0.5; a previous acute attack of angle closure; and surgery in addition to peripheral iridectomy.
