Late reopening of an interposed vein graft for EC/IC bypass.

M Horváth, I Nyáry, J Vajda, E Pásztor.

Abstract

The authors report a case of EC/IC bypass with venous interposition between the external carotid artery and the middle cerebral artery cortical branch without function in the first eight months after surgery but, after the reopening of the graft, very good revascularization of the brain could be seen. The possible causes are discussed.
