Abstract
A series of perforated peptic ulcer, mainly treated by simple suture, omentoplasty and drainage, is presented. The mortality rate, amounting 13.5%, as well as the postoperative sequelae are discussed. Recurrences or persistent symptoms induced reoperations in 63% of the patients. A comparison between our results and the figures from the literature is given, essentially focused on the choice to be made at the moment of the laparotomy for perforation.Entities:
