Abstract
1-Nitropyrene-2-ol is not detectably mutagenic in the Salmonella test in the absence of mammalian activation. It is activated by the rat liver microsome-containing preparation S9 and gives a mutagenic response similar to that of benzo(a)pyrene.Entities:
