Abstract
A new piece of panoramic equipment (Zonarc) was evaluated in clinical practice. The device produces five different image tracks designed for the middle third of the face, upper cervical spine, TM joints in lateral view, optic foramina and upper and lower jaw. A total of 515 panoramic examinations were performed during a 12-month period. Panoramic examinations were shown to be useful in investigations of the middle third of the face, upper cervical spine and fractures of the low jaw. The patient positioning has to be exact and training of the personnel is necessary.Entities:
