Effect of changes in intercompartment rate constants on drug removal during hemoperfusion.

T P Gibson, A J Atkinson.

Abstract

A computer simulation of the effect of changing intercompartment clearance rates on drug removal during hemoperfusion was undertaken. As intercompartment clearance slowed, the fall in plasma levels increased and postperfusion rebound increased, but the total drug removed decreased.
