A previously unrecognized subgroup of "eosinophilic gastroenteritis". Association with connective tissue diseases.

K DeSchryver-Kecskemeti, R E Clouse.

Abstract

A previously unrecognized subgroup of "eosinophilic gastroenteritis" is described which is associated with connective tissue diseases. Large numbers of mast cells and a distinctive pattern of tissue involvement are characteristic morphologic features. Recognition of this entity has potentially important diagnostic and pathogenic implications.
