Abstract
An investigation was carried out in 240 women to determine the prevalence of Chlamydia trachomatis and Mykoplasms in the genital tract. Three groups of women were compared: 80 prostitutes, 80 STD-patients and 80 dermatological patients without genital complaints. In the group of the prostitutes Chlamydia trachomatis was detected in 25% and Mycoplasms in 60%. STD-patients harbored Chlamydia trachomatis in 21% and Mycoplasms in 45%. In the group of dermatological patients Chlamydia trachomatis was isolated only in 3% and Mycoplasms in 33%.Entities:
