Chylous effusions secondary to pancreatitis: case report and review of the literature.

Abstract

We report a case of acute chylothorax and chyloperitoneum associated with alcoholic pancreatitis, the first such case reported in the English literature. The pathogenesis and nonoperative management of this problem are discussed.
