Abstract
The gait of 6 patients with Parkinson's disease was analyzed by movement, EMG, and force recordings. In certain important details, a regression towards a more immature walking pattern was seen. It is suggested that the characteristic parkinsonian gait in addition to hypokinesia is caused by deficits in the neural circuits controlling plantigrade locomotion.Entities:
