"Conjoined" nerve roots: a requirement for computed tomographic and myelographic correlation for diagnosis.

S S Gebarski, J E McGillicuddy.

Abstract

In a case of "conjoined" nerve roots with herniated nucleus pulposus, the computed tomographic findings were inconclusive, if not misleading. Myelography alone was also not definitive. Correlation of these two studies allowed a successful surgical approach.
