Intraarterial infusion of low-dose streptokinase after acute thromboembolization of the right renal artery.

F M Contractor, J P Leicht.

Abstract

Acute arterial thromboembolization is a well-recognized complication following myocardial infarction. Intraarterial infusion of thrombolytic agents is a relatively new method of treating such thromboembolic occurrences. We describe a patient who was successfully treated with low-dose, intraarterial streptokinase infusion following occlusion of the right renal artery 1 week after an acute myocardial infarction.
