Bacteroides aortitis and aneurysm formation following arteriography.

Abstract

Aortitis, aneurysm formation and rupture following translumbar aortography in a middle-aged man is described. The infecting organism was found to be the anaerobe bacteroides, a hitherto undocumented pathogen in this condition.
