Chondral fracture of the anterior intercondylar groove of the femur.

M A Dory.

Abstract

A case of purely chondral fracture of the anterior intercondylar groove of the femur producing a loose body is demonstrated by single contrast arthrography in a boy who also presented a classical osteochondritis dissecans of the medial femoral condyle. This case demonstrates that an arthrography of the knee should always include a study of the patellofemoral joint even if there are no patellofemoral complaints.
