Apatite-induced acute bursitides triggered by parathyroidectomy.

Abstract

We report the case of a chronically hemodialyzed patient in which parathyroidectomy was rapidly followed by acute apatite-induced periarthritides. We discuss briefly the mechanism in comparison with calcium pyrophosphate synovitis.
