Genetic studies of the caddisfly Triaenodes tardus Milne (Trichoptera: Leptoceridae). I. Evidence for a sex-linked esterase.

W W Steiner, A R Brigham, J D Unzicker.

Abstract

Electrophoretic analysis of esterase in Triaenodes tardus Milne, a widely distributed North American caddisfly, reveals sex linkage at one of several esterase loci. Females are the heterogametic sex, confirming observations made via cytogenetic observation of European species.
