Reconstruction of nonhealing perineal wounds with gracilis muscle flaps.

J E Woods, R W Beart.

Abstract

As a method of treating nonhealing wounds of the perineum, usually after proctectomy, use of the gracilis muscle(s) with or without cutaneous attachment has been a successful alternative. Experience with 14 patients, presented here, resulted in healed wounds in all but one.
