Abstract
The practice of using a protective filter apparatus when housing five mice per cage resulted in ammonia levels exceeding 25 ppm. A forced-air individually ventilated caging system was constructed using polyvinyl-chloride tubing fitted to a rodent rack. The ammonia level was decreased using this ventilation system.Entities:
