Abstract
This article suggests the valuable role a social worker can play as a researcher on a multidisciplinary team. In a study conducted by a gynecologist, a social worker, a psychiatrist, and a psychologist, women experiencing chronic pelvic pain were found to be profoundly affected by factors other than organic disease, such as traumatic early childhoods, psychopathology, and incest in a significant number of cases.Entities:
