Abstract
A new method is described for obtaining isolated rods and cones by physical dissociation of the retina. The method gives a large yield of isolated photoreceptors, without any changes in membrane properties that enzymatic dissociation techniques might produce. Photovoltages and photocurrents recorded from rods isolated in this way are presented.Mesh:
