Zinc and senile osteoporosis.

O S Atik.

Abstract

The zinc ion levels in serum and bone tissue of patients with senile osteoporosis were determined and found to be less than that obtained from normal patients. The results suggest that zinc depletion may have a role in the pathogenesis of senile osteoporosis.
