Partial finger loss: an indicator of severe connective tissue disease with overlap features.

G R Struthers, D L Scott, D G Scott, P A Bacon.

Abstract

Six patients are described with partial finger loss due to severe Raynaud's syndrome. In all cases the vascular changes were an early feature of a connective tissue disease with overlap features. It was a poor prognostic feature often heralding severe multisystem involvement with life threatening and on one occasion fatal consequences.
