Abstract
A 47 year old male patient came to our attention for severe anaemia. Although Gujak test for occult blood in the stool was repeatedly positive, x-ray films and endoscopic methods did not yield a definite diagnosis. Ultrasound only was able to identify a mass in the small intestine. Intraoperatively the diagnosis was confirmed; the tumour was a highly malignant carcinoid on pathologic examination.Entities:
