Dissecting aneurysm of aorta in rats fed with cysteamine.

Abstract

Degeneration of elastic fibres leading to aortic aneurysm and rupture was observed in rats treated with cysteamine. The destructive changes are comparable to those of spontaneously occurring cardiovascular abnormalities in man.
