Abstract
The mortality pattern of 2,157 female registered nurses was analyzed for the period 1963 through 1977 using death certificate data. Proportional mortality analysis was used to compare mortality among nurses with that of control groups derived from a population of other female workers. Results indicate an elevated risk of death from suicide among registered nurses.Entities:
