Defining the role of the social worker in primary health care.

Abstract

However difficult and controversial, the task of defining the role of social workers is often a practical necessity, especially in contexts involving professional collaboration. The approach reported here used a list of psychosocial problems and accompanying protocols to define the role of social workers in primary care clinics.
