Abstract
Ketanserin, a 5HT2-receptor blocking drug was given to 17 patients with essential hypertension. Satisfactory control was achieved in 13 patients. Control was not as satisfactory when given once daily. There was no rebound effect when the drug was ceased. Side-effects were few. Ketanserin was a satisfactory drug to reduce blood pressure in patients with moderate hypertension.Entities:
